Case Study:
Whatnot, VP Product
Whatnot, the largest and fastest-growing livestream shopping platform in the U.S. with over $6 billion in GMV estimated for 2025, sought a VP Product to lead its core marketplaces platform strategy. The mandate was to evolve the technology to support global scale and massive transaction volume across critical areas like payments, video infrastructure, and data products.
Our Approach
- Parker Remick partnered with CPO Tom Verrill to identify a high-growth, technically oriented product leader with deep experience building marketplace platforms at scale.
- The search prioritized leaders with strong backgrounds in payments, video, fraud, and/or trust and safety.
- Candidates were expected to have experience developing technology architectures capable of supporting exponential consumer growth.
Our placement:
Gilad Horev, VP PrODuct
- Gilad is a product executive steeped in high-growth marketplaces and complex platform architecture.
- He amassed two decades of experience leading platform efforts, including payments, T&S, and core buyer/seller product at companies like Eventbrite and PayPal; analogous to scaling Whatnot’s real-time, high-volume transaction ecosystem.
