Accela, a permitting, licensing and citizen engagement software was in growth mode and in need of a new CTO, as the prior one had stepped away from the business due to health concerns. In addition to a technically strong leader, Accela wanted someone with high EQ and the ability to be a visible statesperson for the organization.

- We set out to find folks who had experience working in a regulated environment, was familiar with PE structure, and had good exposure to AI, due to the workflow nature of the product.
- Targeted 73 leaders across top-tier tech firms, which is highly targeted and well below the firm average for similar searches.
- Needed to find CTOs who were capable of running Engineering, Security and IT.
